This plate has two remarkable features. The first is the absence of numerical markings on the bottom of the plate, which is very rare and is considered a manufacturing defect with very low occurrence. The second is the red inscription 'L. I.' on the bottom. This inscription is made with non-permanent paint and can be erased if desired. The meaning of the inscription is unknown, but it has not been removed to preserve authenticity. The same inscription can be found on some other plates from Chernobyl.
